full kitten updates

It’s been some time since we last had a FULL KITTEN UPDATE, so I thought today would be a nice time to catch up with the Tornado Twins and Lord Snow. As you can expect, they’ve all been keeping the humans busy chez Cas.

Bumble and his littermate Bother are a year old now, and every single day they remind me of how much energy I no longer have.

In that last post, I mentioned how Bumble and Mr. Captain were locked in a battle of wits all evening long. Today you’ll hear the story of that battle, who won (for now!), and how. A few folks were wondering, so here we are! Human versus feline. Place your bets now….

I came out of that theater knowing that the Force was a more awesome power than all the planet-killing space stations one could construct or command. Then two kittens entered my life and showed me what real destructiveness looked like.

Mr. Captain reminded me that in a week or two, Bumble and Bother have to go to the vet to get fixed. The time is flying! It’s time for a FULL KITTEN UPDATE, everyone!

Bother figured out how to jump onto the counters the other day, you see, and she’s very proud of her new ability. Instead of jumping onto the counters where she has plenty of room, however, she’s decided that the best place to do her new trick is right next to the tea shelf containing the fancy teacups and myriad of tins and cartons, with no legroom at all for a frantically-scrabbling little kitten.

Recently the fabric of my universe got re-woven through the adoption of a pair of orange kittens. Today I wanted to write an update about them since so many of y’all were interested, and also to talk about something I was reading about wonderment last week that caught my attention. Bumble Read more
