Hi and welcome back! After spending all day long trying to get myself on track — and spending most of the day in a darkened bedroom sleeping — I made an executive decision about today’s post. We’ll go revisit silly dating strategies later. Instead, let’s have a primal scream about what’s on all of our minds — or see the stuff you’re doing to keep your mind off of the election. The Election Rundown.
As I write this, Joe Biden’s looking good. But as I recall, Hillary Clinton looked good too — till she suddenly didn’t. That early wave of optimism made the later evening that much more unbearable.
Five Thirty Eight’s doing their usual rundown of the election and its results.
New York Times has an election rundown too. Biden’s doing well there, but again, it’s really early to tell.
Also, Stonekettle’s written his usual out-of-the-park election commentary if you need some biting wit in your evening reads.
And my cat Bother is being extra solicitous this evening.
This wasn’t taken today, but this is the mood she’s in. And yes, she never seems to care about stuff placed on her.
We’ll be back tomorrow — in either determined or elated spirits. Even if Donald Trump wins again and we get the usual outpouring of Christian love in his wake to show us all just how great evangelicals’ imaginary friend Jesus really is, I’ll come out swinging. It’s just the indecision that gets to me.
